Homemade Gifts: Metal Embossed Candles is one of my favorite kind of gifts to make.  I love being able to decorate a candle in such a way that the recipient thinks I purchased it. For over a year, I had an idea in my mind on how to metal emboss a candle in a very unique way.  I couldn’t figure it out until I discovered something amazing last week.  

My Favorite Kind of Gifts

Homemade Gifts are fun to make especially when it involves a candle.  Who doesn’t love candles?   There are so many ways you can decorate  them and I am always looking to come up with fresh, new ideas.  

Last week, I took a trip to my local Hobby Lobby Store and found something gorgeous “Metal Ribbon”!   The funny thing about this product is that it actually isn’t ribbon. It is bendable metal!  It is thicker than metal sheets and is perfect for candles and much more.   When you go to your local store you need to give them the following information: Metal Ribbon Opened Oval #334789.  They will be glad to order it for you!

The Process

The process for creating this beautiful metal embossed candle is different than anything I have ever done.  I embossed the top and bottom of the metal sheet and left the center flat and then hand embossed the oval areas.  I really had to think about how to do this as the Add a Little Dazzle Craft Metal Sheet wouldn’t fit through the Big Shot.
