I Made this Man SAD (and that’s ok)

I Made this Man SAD (and that’s ok).  Earlier this week, I ran into a cashier at the grocery store. He was excited to see what I was purchasing and asked what I would be making with it. He was so excited and asked if I would bring him some UNTIL I explained to him what I would be making. He became SAD and DISCOURAGED. Honestly, I wasn’t surprised by his reaction as it is a common one by almost everybody…..MADE HIM SADMy BIG WEAKNESS

Besides my love for crafting, I LOVE cooking and I must confess I am a kitchen gadget collector. I get as excited about kitchen gadgets as I do about crafting supplies.  I could spend hours in a kitchen store looking for gadgets and all kinds of fun stuff.

Earlier this week, I headed to the grocery store to purchase some more glass storage containers for my kitchen.  As I glanced around, I ran into the baking pan section. There was a pan that immediately caught my eye and the price was right.  I love making “clean eating” desserts and this was the perfect pan.  It had a picture of a delicious looking brownie which I am positive was not “clean”.

BROWNIE PANThe Challenge Is ON!

In talking with the cashier, he quickly figured out I wasn’t making the “unclean desserts” as shown in the picture. I told him I would be making a dessert BUT it would be “healthy”.  He immediately said he didn’t want it because it wouldn’t taste good.

I challenged him to give my “clean eating” dessert a try and he said he would accept the challenge. He wanted to know if I could come up with something that’s good for you while keeping it “healthy and clean”.  I am excited by the challenge and can’t wait to WOW him.

HELP ME OUTI Need Your Help

I am determined to create some healthy desserts that are “clean” and show this man that “healthy eating” doesn’t mean bland and boring. I need your help for this challenge.

Leave me a comment with your favorite “unclean dessert recipe” that you would like me to recreate. If your recipe is chosen, I will send you THIS AMAZING SWEETENER. I love it because it doesn’t have a nasty aftertaste. It is our favorite sweetener!

You have until SUNDAY, JUNE 7TH, to leave your comment for a dessert you want me to turn “clean”.  I want to show you that eating healthy can be delicious and you DON’T have to give up great tasting food.

  1. I’m not trying to win your contest Monica. I would love to know where you purchase this sweetner. Not sure what you consider a clean desert but I have a recipe for banana nut bread with no sugar. It uses applesauce for the sugar and you’d never know the difference. You look fabulous in your new weight loss pictures! I hope you and your family continue to be healthy.

    • Hi Sandi,

Thanks so much for your kind words. The sweetener can be found in most health food stores. I would try Trader Joes or Whole Foods. If not, go to Amazon.

I would love to take a look at your recipe and turn it into a Clean Eating Recipe. You can email me at monica@addalittledazzle.com

Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you.

  2. Just about anything would be great! My husband loves the good old Texas Sheet Cake which I would think you had made before. I had to shy away from making it because you just can’t stop at one piece or have to keep evening up the cut parts! My other super favorite would be a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Guess who is wanting chocolate now?

    • Hi Chris,

I love all your ideas. The great news is that all this can be made clean. I haven’t been craving chocolate lately but definitely Carrot Cake. Yummy!!! You made me hungry. 馃檪

  3. How about a cobbler recipe? I would love a good healthy peach cobbler that I could make for church buffets!
BTW, I love kitchen gadgets too!

    • Donna,

Yummy! I actually bought peaches a few days ago and going to work on a peach cobbler recipe. I am craving it!!!

  4. I am a COOKIE MONSTER! So…I guess my favorite would be Cookies – like Chocolate Chip or Tri-color or Pignoli or Shortbread….

    • Cathy,

Sounds delicious!!! Thanks for your comment

  5. Chocolate fudge layer cake with chocolate fudge frosting.

    • Mary,
