Today I would like to share with you the "My Digital Studio Metal Embossed Desktop Calendar".  This desktop calendar was created using Rock Star Black Metal Sheets, Black & White Photos, My Digital Studio, and some dazzling Stampin' Up! accessories.  The base of this calendar was created using an 8" x 8" shadowbox.  I embossed a piece of Rock Star Black Metal Sheet for the background.  How did I emboss an 8" x 8" piece as it doesn't fit through the Big Shot?  It is a really cool technique that allows you to emboss areas that are bigger than what fit through the Big Shot.  Keep reading to find out more.

As you can see from the pictures above, each picture features a different month of the year.  This piece is very simple, but elegant.  I created this so it is versatile enough to give a man.  This is perfect for a birthday, Valentine's Day, Father's Day, Mother's Day, and will look beautiful on a desk.  The great thing is that you can change out the calendar every month without damaging the metal or glass as your calendar will beautifully adhere to the glass.  Then, next year all you need to do is give the recipient of this calendar another set of 12 pictures and they are ready to go.

I am so excited to finally have had a chance to create. It has been crazy around Add a Little Dazzle with sick children and then having them share it with me. We are all finally feeling better and trying to get ready for my mother's arrival next week. The kids are excited to see "abuela" and so am I.  My mom hasn't met our 9 month old yet and so she is excited.  I will share pictures after she arrives.

Welcome to Add a Little Dazzle! August SU Stars Blog Hop Tour: Letters to Santa Multi Folds Mini Scrapbook...

During this tour, we are focusing on "Fancy Folds" and so I wanted to create something that can be used for the holidays. I love mini scrapbooks and so I decided to create the "Letters to Santa Multi Folds Mini Scrapbook". I created this mini scrapbook using the Letters to Santa Designer Series Paper and Quick Accents from the Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog.  I love Cherry Cobbler and so I used that color for the base of this book. This mini scrapbook folds and folds and folds and everytime you open a section it beautifully displays pictures.  This mini scrapbook holds twelve pictures and has room for more.  I wanted to add small touches of elegance without taking away from the book itself and so I used Barn Red Metal Sheets & Metal Tape Sheets in little spots to make it bling. These two metal sheet colors are part of our "Summer Madness Sale-Week 8".

 

 
The album construction and layout can be adapted to any theme or occasion. All you have to do is change up the designer series paper and color of the base of the book. All you do is follow the same instructions and page layouts, and you can make this into a baby mini scrapbook album, Back to School Mini Album, Thanksgiving Mini Album etc.  This is a very versatile scrapbook album!  There are a lot of different measurements to get the book to fold correctly, close it, and ideas for adding an additional 10 pictures.  All this can be found in my class planner. Add this class to your holiday schedule; I have done all the work for you. Petals-a-Plenty Metal Embossed Candle Ensemble & Gift Box

Today, I would like to share a project I created in October 2009 when I first launched the use of metal sheets at "Add a Little Dazzle ". This candle was the beginning of a dazzling new way of incorporating stamping with Stampin' Up! product. You can view the original post by CLICKING HERE.   After the release of the candle, we had a lot of requests for a candle box and so we designed and released the "Metal Embossed   Candle Gift Box   Tutorial" in December 2009. CLICK HERE to view the original post.  This week we decided this planner needed a fresh makeover with better pictures, techniques we've learned to improve the creation of these projects, and two planners combined into one.  These candles and gift box are absolutely gorgeous. This ensemble is perfect for your gift giving needs and/or a to offer as a class. I used Barn Red Metal Sheets (Week 5 special) along with the Petals-a-Plenty Impressions Folder.  There are techniques taught in this tutorial that will allow you to emboss larger areas than what fit in your Impressions Folder without creating a gap/flat spot in your piece. These steps are very important in order to create a beautiful and professional looking candle ensemble and gift box.

Many of you have requested to see an updated picture of my baby; I can't believe how fast time has gone by.  I am so thankful for the miracle of having her after such a difficult pregnancy. I absolutely love this picture and how beautifully it came together using the Baroque Motifs Stamp Set, Love Letter Designer Series Paper, Basic Rhinestone Jewels, Flower Daisies #2 Bigz Die Cut, and Barn Red Metal Sheets. Isn't this gorgeous? This project is in the "Metal Embossed Gerbera Daisies Ensemble Tutorial".  I just love how it all came together and even more the picture of my precious one who is growing up too fast. This is a great class to offer your customers or to give as a gift. The Red Metal Gerbera Daisy really adds the touch to this piece. It is absolutely beautiful in person.
