Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I have to share with you that this wasn't the best weekend for me. I shared with you all a bib card I made on Friday. Well, I made that card for a lady from our church who had her little baby boy premature weighing 1 lb. 3ozs. My husband and I decided that we needed to go visit her and her husband at the hospital on Friday, so we packed the kids and left to Albuquerque. Before we arrived at the hospital we were informed that the baby had just passed away 20 minutes ago. This was the hardest thing in the world for us but we knew God had ordained for us to be there as we understood this pain too well.
On September 13, 2003, my husband and I lost our daughter Jacqueline two days after she was born. She weighed in at 1 lb. 2 ozs. and fought for her life so hard but just didn't make it. The pain that a parent experiences in losing a child is horrible. You wonder why, what did you do wrong? Nothing makes sense at that moment and you wish you could die just to make the pain go away. As we walked into the bereavement room at the hospital that evening my heart broke for this family. I hugged her and cried like if it were my child. I held her precious baby boy in my arms and it hurt so much. He was so tiny but so perfect! It has been a very emotional weekend for us and now we prepare to bury this child today. Yesterday, I made this card for her. I wanted something soft and serene yet simple. I have never made a sympathy card. I was very happy with this card. Her cousin came over last night and we made her a matching shadowbox to display at the funeral home. Her cousin told me she cried the minute she saw the shadowbox frame with his picture and his baby hat from the hospital. I just finished a big picture frame for her for this morning. It has pictures of him along with metal embossed sheets. It is absolutely beautiful and I pray she will love it. It is a dreary and snowy day here in Northern New Mexico. Please pray for this family today and keep us in prayer as we are with them today. There are no words to comfort this family and all we can do is be there to cry with them and share in their pain.
I have created a downloadable pdf file for you. This card is also beautiful for a baby shower, thank you card, thinking of you etc. The Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set has many sentiments to choose from that make this a perfect card to keep on hand. I hope you enjoy it!

Due to the unexpected events this weekend, I have extended this weekend's contest through tomorrow, so please leave a comment and tell me what you think of today's card. I will be back tomorrow. If you email me and don't get an immediate response, please give me until tomorrow to respond. Today my husband and I will be with the Sanchez Family saying goodbye to their precious baby boy.
Have a dazzling day,

How very sad about the baby. I'm sure the parent's appreciated your efforts and your understanding having been there. I am so sorry for both of you.
the card however is just lovely and one that I'm sure they will treasure. You have really captured the essence of innocence and beauty in this card.
God Bless!

What a beautiful card, so simple, so pure. It brought tears to my eyes. Your story did as well. I lost a baby at birth a long time ago, but the pain is still with me, and stories like this bring it all back. Thanks for sharing - and my condolences to the family.

Thank you so much for this card. My DIL's sister just found out the baby she is carrying is brain damaged and has heart problems and isn't expected to live so this is perfect timing. I didn't know what to do before I saw this. It's perfect.

I am so sorry to hear of their loss and of yours. This card is beautiful and I know she will forever cherish it and I know she is very grateful that you had made the trip to see them and were there when everything went bad. Who better to have with you than someone who knows exactly what you are going thru, because they have gone thru the same loss. My prayers are with you and the Sanchez Family.

Oh Monica, how very sad this is to happen. My prayers are with the Family of the Baby Boy in Heaven and with You and your Family also. I am sure that they appreciated very much you being there at thier time of need to console them and just keep them company. Thank you so much for completing your trip. Your card is Beautiful for such a Sweet Baby Boy. I am sure his parents will treasure it forever. They will be able to tell the love that went into making this card. How hard it must have been for you to make, and yet you did an awesome job. I don't know that I could have done it under those circumstances. My heart is with you Monica. Time heals all.

I am so sorry you had to make such a beautiful card for such a sad occasion. Unfortunately, it is a pain that will never go away; it only be something that can be "handled". Prayers to you, your friends, and all the people who have lost their children.
