Good Afternoon Stampers,
Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate love. Love of a spouse, friends, family, coworkers etc. We all have people in our lives that we love and that love us. Who can you think of? When was the last time you let somebody know you cared by your acts of kindness? My club members/friends demonstrated their love for my family this week. As you all know we took the children to Disney and came home on Sunday. Unfortunately, I came home sick and quickly shared it with my family. Due to being so sick, I had to reschedule one of my clubs, but right away my club members "my friends" stepped in to show us they cared. They have shown their love to us by calling us, praying for us, helping us, and making soup for us. I have no words to describe how much these expressions of love have meant to us. It blesses my heart to know that we are loved; they have gone out of their way to help us even in the midst of snowy conditions we are experiencing that is making it difficult to drive. Thank you ladies from the bottom of my heart! I love you all!
When was the last time you did something for somebody for no special reason? Today's post is a great small gift you can make for somebody. Can you think of somebody who can make these for? Residents at a nursing home, stranger on the street, patients in a hospital, cashier at the grocery store, the waiter at the restaurant, the guy at the gas station, the lady behind you at the grocery store? How about making these with your Sunday School class and having them randomly find people to bless? We can touch the lives of those we don't know everyday by a Random Act of Kindness. Imagine if 1 out of 5 people who read my blog would do this what an impact we could have on this day (Valentine's Day). Remember, this day doesn't bring joy to all. A widow who just lost their spouse, an abused person, a homeless person, an orphan, a person who is homebound. Who can you think of blessing with one of these? Somedays these Random Acts of Kindness can make a world of difference for somebody. Have you ever had a day you wished somebody did something special for you?
Please leave me a comment at the end of this post and give me some ideas of who my family and I can give these to on Valentine's Day. I want to start doing more activities like these with my children to allow them to experience blessing others. Leave me an idea and you will be entered for a chance to win my new planner that will be released next week. You will love it! I will pick 5 winners, so make sure to leave a comment. The contest will be open until next Friday.
So would you like to make some of these boxes? Let me know and I will post instructions for these dazzling boxes. I hope you love them as much as I do! Did you see the metal hearts? Yes, you can use metal and punches together. If you would like to order metal sheets, look for this button under the Order Online button on the upper right hand corner of my blog. Click on the button, take a look, choose your colors, and place your order just in time for Valentine's Day. This metal is amazing and so easy to work with for all your cardmaking, 3d items, and scrapbooking needs. Next week's planner will be a mini scrapbook full of embossed metal so get ready to be dazzled.
By the way, here is a sneek peek of this week's Valentine's Extravaganza project. I will send out the email shortly, so make sure to check your mailboxes later today for this week's project. This project was created with a simple item that is very popular during this time and created into a WOW project. If you are not signed up to receive my newsletter, hurry up and do so by adding your email address to my mailing list. All you have to do is go to the upper left hand corner of this blog and you will see a place to sign up for the newsletter. Just do that and you will be registered. I will add your name before I send out the email today.
Before I leave, I would like to announce the winners of a pack of Metal Sheets. The winners are Carol Jean Herkton and Stace. Congratulations ladies! Please contact me via email at monica@addalittledazzle.com so that I can send your pack of Metal Sheets along with your special metal embossed gift (it's a surprise)!
Look forward to hearing from you all!
Have a dazzling weekend!

I would love to know how to make the boxes. Wouldn't the mailman, UPS/FedEx driver, cart person at the grocery store, WalMart greeter be surprised to receive one? Of course teachers, scout leaders and coaches too.
It is such a nice and unexpected gesture. Wouldn't they be great to distribute to a retirement home?
Thanks for giving me an idea.

Monica, I just love your idea of giving the little boxes as random acts of kindness. It's a wonderful idea and the possibilities are endless. How about leaving one in the mailbox for the mailman, don't forget Mr. Brown when he comes with your next order. Your hairdresser, pharmacist, receptionist and nurses at your doctor's office and I truly like the idea of giving them to strangers you meet while standing in line.

Monica,
The boxes are really cute. I love the ones with the impressions polka dots. It is a wonderful idea to show your children to reach out to others. I think a nursing home would be a great idea, the elderly are often lonely and love to see kids.

I would love to learn how to make those great little boxes! I love the idea of just handing them out to random people you come across through your day. What about the checker at the grocery store or favorite craft store.

Monica, I am so sorry to hear you and your family ended your vacation ill. It is nice to have wonderful friends and neighbors. My neighbor was sick earlier this week and I made her chicken soup.
This week's Valentine Extravaganza project is truly dazzling. It is so very pretty.
I love your little Valentine boxes in today's post. It would be great if you posted the measurements. They would be perfect to hand out at the post office, doctor's office, etc. I especially think it would be nice to give out at a nursing home.

How about your Babysitter, pop a couple in the mail to some distant friends and surprise them, RAK's, put some into a small bag and just hand them out to whomever you come across on Valentine"s Day they won't be expecting it and you will put a smile on thier face! The grocery Check-out Clerk, your Florist I bet they would appreciate being recognized on this day since they are super busy. How about Customers, or your Demo or your favorite Blog Writer! Whew, that was tough on the brain, gotta go now, but love the metal Butterflies. Have a wonderful day!

These are very cute. I think you should give them to kids classmates or any of the people you regularly see. The checkout girl at the corner store, the person who makes your coffee at starbucks. Even the postman or garbageman. And don't forget Mr. UPS.

Monica your little boxes are adorable! If would suggest that they would be the perfect gift for seniors. There are so many lonely elderly people in retirement homes that don't have family or friends and I know that a small gift such as these little treat boxes would be much appreciated on Valentines Day!

Your little boxes are adorable. Would love to make some to give out. What a thoughtful idea to give them out as RAK's and teaching your children the gift of giving.
I'd like to add to the long list, insurance person, doctors and nurses. Maybe go to the hospital to the childrens ward (with permission of course), day care, Ronald McDonald house, local firestation, police officers.
I'm sure where ever you go and whom you RAK, they will love it and be so appreciative.
