Good Morning Stampers!

Has your life been hectic with last minute holiday preparations. I am exhausted beyond belief!  Where did the time go?  It flew by and I can't believe we are now 2 days away from Christmas and a week away from a New Year. I am sure we are all frazzled at this point and just want Christmas to come.  The important thing to remember is that we enjoy the time with family and friends as we celebrate the birth of Our Saviour Jesus Christ.

Today, I would like to introduce you to my entire family.  They are my support system with the family business.  Each of us works in the business in some way.  Whether it be my husband delivering orders, mailing out boxes of Metal Sheets, making bank deposits, the kids helping set out supplies for classes,  my daughter eating the chocolate intended for the customers, or all of us cleaning up after classes, and definitely everybody putting up with a not so perfect clean house some days.  All of us truly work the business and we want to take this opportunity to thank you for your business and support throughout this past year.  None of this would be possible without you and we truly want to thank you for trusting us.  We pray that each of you have a very Merry Christmas and a new year filled with health, prosperity, and blessings from above.

Last Weekend Before Christmas and Winners!

Good Morning Stampers!

Hope you are all doing well and taking care of all you last minute gifts for Christmas.  This is the last weekend before Christmas. Where did the time go? I wish I could say we are ready, but we aren't.  This past week was very hectic in our home and my hubby and I took some time off to enjoy his company's Christmas Party.  The food was delicious and we had a wonderful time spending some time just the two of us.  We even got to enjoy some dancing time!  That was fun!  It was even more fun being out there dancing with some of my customers who work with my husband.  I loved being able to spend some fun time with them and seeing each other outside of the studio doing something besides papercrafting.  I love the friends I have made through this great business of mine.  We have only been in New Mexico for a little over a year and I would have gone crazy if it weren't for our business and the opportunity to meet new and exciting people everyday.

Michael and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support of our business and for helping us to have a successful year.  We are excited about what's to come in the new year and being able to serve you even better.  Thank you for coming into our world and being a part of it.  Our prayer is that you will have a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones as we celebrate the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ.  May the New Year be full of God's greatest blessings and may we all go into a New Year with a positive outlook for each of our lives no matter what the circumstance.  There is much to learn through whatever life throws our way and God is by our side holding us through it all.  We are all struggling financially and in other areas but may we never forget that God will NEVER EVER forsake us.  He loves each one of us and will provide for our every need. 12 Weeks of Christmas DVD!

I can't believe Christmas is right around the corner.  Where did the time go?  It seems like when I was a child it took forever to come and now it goes by too quickly.  I wish I could slow down the clock and enjoy more time like a child during this holiday season.  Today I am sharing a mini version of a project I created for my 12 Weeks of Christmas.  This project is so easy to make and is a great last minute gift.  I made this smaller version for my children's teachers.  There are 10 of them so I have to keep it simple.  These jars are under $5 each and the Jingle All the Way Decor Element is the small one that costs $3.50 each.  You can't beat that.  Then all you do is pop a bag of popcorn in the microwave, melt some colored chocolate wafers, drizzle on the popcorn, let it set, and you are done.  How is that?  I am also going to give these to my two neighbors along with a dazzling card.

Quick and Dazzling Gift and Newsletter!

The clock is ticking and Christmas is almost here.  I still have teacher gifts to make and very little time.  I have made several gifts for them and have spread them out during a 2 week period.  My children's teachers are the most amazing teachers they have ever had and the small gifts are only a small token of my appreciation for all the love they have for my children. The kids will be getting out of school this Friday and so I have four days to finish their teacher's gifts. Does this sound like you? Are you running around like a chicken with your head cut off like me?  Well, let me share this amazing gift that will help relieve your stress level.  This gift is not only perfect for a teacher, but for a colleague or neighbor.

I love to make chocolate covered pretzels for Christmas, but this year I have no time. While I was at my local store checking out the candy aisle, I found a tin of chocolate covered pretzels.  I thought this is great but I didn't like the packaging.  It wasn't eye appealing and I believe presentation is just as important. 

 Here is a picture of the original container.  Not very eye appealing, huh?  I started thinking about what to do with it and it hit me.  Take some metal tin and emboss it!!! Yes, yes, yes.  I quickly threw two of these tins into the cart and went home to work on my idea. I LOVE IT! It is absolutely beautiful and the recipient will think you spend all day in the kitchen.  I created this gift in less than 15 minutes.  Honestly this was way too easy to make.  This tin cost $5 each and with some dazzle I turned an ordinary gift into an extraordinary gift with a lot of dazzle in no time at all.  I am going back to the store tonight to buy enough for friends, neighbors, and teachers.  The amount of time I save makes it all worthwhile.

Textured Gift for the Holidays and More Goodies!

Texturz Plates that had the argyle pattern.  This is definitely a beautiful piece that can be displayed in your home or office.   

We are taking our family pictures this weekend, so I will have one with my 3 children to show you next week.  You don't want to miss it as I will be embossing metal for a bigger medium than the standard folder.  The look is beautiful and I definitely think that is what my kid's grandparents will be receiving this year.

Update on Metal Sheets and New Post Below!

Hi Stampers!

Just wanted to quickly let you know that we just got in a new order of Metal Sheets.  We were worried that it wouldn't get here today because of the snow thats coming down but it is here.  Yeah!  We will start working on orders tonight.  All orders will ship out tomorrow.  If the snow storm is bad, then we will ship out on Wednesday.  Thanks for your patience and all your orders. A few things before we get back to work:

1.  We have a limited supply of Copper Roll Metal Sheets until the beginning of the year.  I have a few left and then I am out until January 1st.

2.  Aluminum Roll Metal Sheets are SOLD OUT and are not available until January 1st.  If you ordered aluminum we will be sending you the copper roll.  The back side is aluminum and can be used for your projects.  If you do not want this option, please email us and let us know.

Holiday Lounge Kisses!

Good Morning Stampers,

Thank you for all your emails about my 12 Weeks of Christmas, the Metal Tin Gift Card Holder, and your concern about last week's accident.  I am excited to know that you all are enjoying my work.  We have a few more weeks before the 12 Weeks of Christmas comes to an end.  Don't despair, I won't be disappearing from your mailboxes.  I have something up my sleeve to share at a later date.  Just make sure you are signed up to receive my newsletter because you won't want to miss out. 

As far as me, I am doing ok.  My neck and headaches are a pain in the neck. (LOL) It hurts off and on.  I am trying to slow down but for those of you that know me and have gotten to know me, it is really hard for me to slow down.  During the accident, my two smaller children were with me in the car. My daughter is too young to really understand what happened, but my youngest son is now scared to go in the car when it is snowing. It is snowing right now, so he didn't want to go in the car today for fear of the car sliding and flipping over. It hurts me to know he is scared, and all I can do is reassure him we will be ok.  Thanks again for all your well wishes and prayers.  Pray that God will ease our fear.

Today's project I am sharing with you is a very easy stocking stuffer, teacher gift, colleague gift etc.  It is so easy to make and it will help you use up all those scraps of designer series paper.  I have seen several of these kind of bag toppers on the internet and decided to create one with my own twist.  Remember that Taken with Teal ornament and box?  My children's teachers will be receiving that as one of their gifts along with this bag of kisses.  They look great and both projects are inexpensive to make and will be loved by all who receive it.  You know, you can even throw a chapstick, lip gloss, gift card or anything else you like to dazzle up the gift a little more.  I promise these are so easy to make, so I will share the  instructions with you.

Instructions:

1.  Take an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of Taken with Teal Cardstock and cut it into a 4 1/4" x 9" piece.  Take  the 9" side of the cardstock and align it along the top of the paper cutter and score at 2 1/2" and 2 3/4".

2.  Cut your designer series paper into a 2" x 4" piece and attach to the flap with snail adhesive.

3.  Take a medium cellophane bag and attach sticky strip along the left hand side, right hand side, and bottom of the cellophane bag (make sure the seam is facing the back).  Remove the red film, position, and attach to the cardstock.

4.  Fill with irridescent filler,Hershey's Kisses, and anything else you like.  Cut a piece of Real Red 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon and tie in a bow along the top.

5.  Take a scrap piece of Real Red Cardstock and the Ornament Punch and put out the shape.  Take an ornament from the Merry and Bright Rub-Ons and attach it to the punched shape.

6.  Punch a hole with the smaller hole punch on the Crop-A-Dile on the top of the ornament.  Take a silver metallic eyelet and set it with the Crop-A-Dile.

7.  Run a piece of Silver Elastic Cord through the hole of the ornament and tie around the bow.  You are done!

Now, how easy is that.  You can knock these out in no time at all.  If you are making it for a teacher, slip in a gift card to a local store/coffee shop and you are done.  It can't get easier than this. I love the punched/rubon ornament.  It is so pretty and looks dazzling with the Real Red and Silver together.  It is such a simple but dazzling way to package some candy and a gift card or anything else you would like.  The great thing is you get to use up all those scraps of designer series paper while creating an amazingly easy yet dazzling project.

Memei Bumped the Car, New Tutorial, Winner, and Much More......

Good Morning Stampers!

I haven't disappeared off the planet.  A lot has been going on and I am trying to get caught up on orders in between life happening.  In the past week, we have had 3 car accidents in our household.  Two of them our fault and one of them by an uninsured motorist.  We are all ok, but how do you call your insurance company for a third claim in 1 week? LOL.  I am starting to wonder if we just need a new car. 

In case you are wondering who "memei" is that is my daughter's name for me. Right now all my daughter says is, "Memei bumped the car".  She tells anybody who will listen.  Yup! I bumped the car or should I say I got into an accident on Thursday as it was snowing as I was trying to get out of my neighborhood.  As I was going up the hill, the car slid backwards and swerved all over the place.  Thank God nothing major happened as I was on a hill that my car could have rolled off. Only God kept the car from rolling off the hill and landing on somebody's house. It reminded me of how fragile life is and we never know when our number is up.  Thank God mine and my children's number was not up. I went to the doctor yesterday and I have whiplash.  I am determined not to let this get me down, so hopefully my positive thinking will help me get better fast.  Too much going on to be getting hurt!  First a broken toe and now a pain in the neck accompanied by headaches! LOL
