Dasher Ornament, Winner, and More!

Dazzling Christmas Envelope!

I am so excited to share with you today's dazzling project.  I just love it, love it, love it!!!!  Yesterday, one of my assistants and I were working on the next Christmas Card Class design and we were totally stumped.  No matter what we tried, we didn't like the way it looked.  Has this ever happened to you?  Well, I decided to put it to the side and work on something else and eventually the inspiration would hit me and I would create a dazzling project.  It finally hit me and a dazzling card was born.  I am so happy with the end product that I wanted to stand on the corner and show it to everybody.

As I have mentioned in previous posts my goal is to incorporate the Big Shot into all or most of my projects in some way.  Here is a sneek peek of the Petals-A-Plenty Textured Impressions Folder that will be available in the Holiday Mini Catalog on September 1, 2009. When I ran it through my Big Shot, I was floored at the beauty of it.  Absolutely dazzling!!  I decided I would incorporate the impressions folder in the next card I will be showcasing in my Christmas Card Planner but no card is complete without a dazzling envelope. I wanted to texturize some part of the envelope and couldn't figure out a piece that would fit and then it hit me.  I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, and attached it to flap of my envelope with a glue stick.  Afterwards, I cut around the flap and this beautiful envelope was created.  

Here is a sneak peek of the stamp set I will be using for the next Christmas Card Planner.  Wait till you see the finished card with matching envelope! I can't wait, but I will have to wait for now because I still have to release the Snow Swirled Christmas Planner next week.  Imagine the oohs and aahhs the recipient of this card will get when they show off the envelope. Imagine the smile on your postmaster's face when they see such a beautiful envelope.  This envelope is absolutely dazzling!

By the way, how many of you went to my Dazzling Purse-o-Nality Planner and figured out where I used the Big Shot? If you haven't purchased the planner yet, you need to.  I will show you a Christmas version of the project that used the Big Shot tomorrow.  You will want to run and purchase this planner as you see the versatility of this project.  If you just can't wait until tomorrow then run and purchase it now and get the inside scoop and you will say "ooohhh it's so dazzling"!

Snow Swirled Christmas

Hope everyone is doing well.  Thanks to all who have continued to visit my blog during my absence.  I have to tell you my allergies are absolutely unbearable.  I have been so sick that my work time has been very limited.  My eyes are swollen and hurt all the time. Even wearing eye makeup is rough and honestly doesn't last very long.

This is my first summer here in New Mexico and have been told it could be the sagebrush that surrounds my house. I have been to the doctor several times and nothing is working. If any of you know of anything that will help please let me know. 

I would like to start by sharing my Christmas Card.  I absolutely love this card for the simplicity yet elegance it portrays.  This is the card we made at my first Christmas Card Class last month.  Everybody loved it.  You can't see it very well but this tree is covered in dazzling diamonds. It is absolutely DAZZLING! We also stamped the same image on the right hand corner of the envelope and covered it in dazzling diamonds.  It makes a great presentation and is an easy card to create for Christmas.  I have also created a photo card version that I will share later this week.  This card not only matches the DVD box I posted earlier but it also matches the gift tag.  By the way, if you are in my area, I will be offering this class again on Saturday, August 15th at 10:00 a.m.  I still have spots open, so please email me at monica@addalittledazzle.com.

I decided I wanted to take it a step further and create a table place setting.  I struggled with this one for a while but am very excited about the results.  Again, simple but elegant.  What you can't see from this picture is that the napkin ring holder is covered in microbeads.  I wanted them to show more but I couldn't get the look I wanted so I decided to use it as a soft back layer.  You will also notice that I took a little bit of the card and created it into this table place setting.  If you look back to an earlier post, you will see that the tag is like the one I created for the dvd box.  Again, the idea was to create something that could be used in more than one project.  Check out the little scraps used in the tag. I wanted to make sure not only to incorporate the same designer series paper pattern but the same color scheme.  Check out the tag! You can either stamp Merry Christmas or you can use our "Calendar Alphabet and Numbers" stamp set (Item #111610 $20.95) to stamp your guests name.  Not only will you wow them but they could take it home and use it for a gift.

 As you all know, I am designing Christmas planners that offer you two card ideas (standard and photo version), gift tag, gift boxing idea, and decor items using the same stamp set/designer series paper.  I have designed these to help you see how you can use the same stamp set for more than one item.  It is easy to get stuck making one item with a stamp set and be done with it.  Well, I want to show you that you don't have to.  You can take it a step further and make dazzling creations with the same stamp set.  Furthermore, during the 5 months that I am offering these planners you will learn how to use the same pack of paper to create 5 different cards without having to reinvest in buying more designer series paper.  That is not only great for the customer but also cost efficient for those of you who are demonstrators.

My planners are $21.95 and include detailed instructions with pictures, measurements, cutting guide, timely tips, cost analysis, and a beautiful eye-catching flyer to promote your class.  The planner will include all instructions for creating the cards, the dvd box, tag, and decor item.   One of the features I have included in all my planners is in using the Big Shot.  Some are traditional ideas yet my creations and some are ideas that are thinking outside of the box.  My goal is to think outside-of-the-box and create things that leave you thinking "now how didn't I think of that".  I have put a lot of time and work into these planners to offer you the best of me.  My planners will always have designs, templates, and ideas that are mine.  I want to offer you something that is me.
