Best Ever Flipbook Class at My Studio or On-the-Go!

Welcome to Whatever Wednesday!  On Whatever Wednesday, I will post anything from a card, 3d item, scrapbook page, to an altered item.

I must confess in today's post that I am not a  scrapbooker.  I feel overwhelmed at the idea of completing a full page. All of that is changing a little at a time thanks to Stampin' Up's! Simply Scrappin kits. They are amazing!! I love how all the cardstock, designer paper, and stickers match perfectly.  The best part is that these kits takes all the guess work out of scrapbooking and allows you to see beautiful results in a short amount of time. These kits are so amazing that I am actually starting to enjoy mini book scrapbooking.

Every month I offer a card and a scrapbooking class at my studio or On-the-Go.  The class I am showing you today is my scrapbooking  class for the month of March.  I absolutely love it!!  This flip book holds up to 16 pictures and looks more amazing in person.  If you are interested in attending one of my classes, I will be holding two classes in my studio.

• Saturday, March 7, 2009 from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm

 If you are not in the area or can't attend, NO PROBLEM.  I also offer this class as an On-the-Go Class.

 I have many dazzling surprises in store for this class.  I will have samples of more creations using this same Best Ever Simply Scrappin' Kit!  Make sure to bring your camera to take pictures of these great ideas.  Also, you don't want to miss the "edible scrapbooking cake" I will be making for this class. Yes, I will use the scrapbooking kit and yes you will be able to eat the cake.

This past weekend I had a wonderful group of ladies join me for the Crazy for Cupcakes Class.  We made 8 cards (2 of each) and this adorable cupcake box.  If you were not able to make it to my class, don't despair.  I still have kits available and will be glad to send it in the mail for you.  If you live in the Taos, New Mexico area I will deliver it to you for FREE.

Awesome Party Invitation and Grand Opening in the Newspaper!

 Hi Ladies!  I am back after a long time of not posting.  My family and I were very sick for a while there and we are finally getting up on our feet.  In the midst of being sick I had my Grand Opening, which was spectacular!  The week of the Grand Opening I was really really sick and I had the Taos News come and do a photoshoot to promote my grand opening. Tina Larkin, photographer for the Taos News, followed up with a photoshoot the day of the Grand Opening. I had my Crazy for Cupcakes Class at my studio on Friday, February 20th and it was awesome.  We had a great group of ladies join us.  We had 8 new people in attendance.  That was great!  In addition to the great class, I made samples to showcase what else you could do with Crazy for Cupcakes, Party Hearty, and Hugs and Wishes stamp sets along with the Sweet Always Designer Series paper.  This dazzling party invitation was cased from Robin Desko.  I found this invitation on the Stampin' Up website for demonstrators.  Robin was an artisan award winner this year and Stampin' Up! has these demonstrators provide other demonstrators with dazzling ideas.  This was definitely one of them.  There are many things I love about this card, but the best thing I love is the simplicity of this card yet a dazzling invitation you would love to send out to others.

Directions:

1. Cut a sheet of pink pirouette to 3 1/2" x 6 1/2".

2. Cut a piece of Sweet Always Designer Series Paper to 3 1/4"x 6 1/4" and adhere to the pink pirouette cardstock.

3.  Cut a piece of whisper white cardstock to 3" x 6" and adhere to designer series paper.

4.  Use a stamp a majig to position the "You're Invited" sentiment from the Hugs and Wishes stamp set and stamp it in chocolate chip.

5.  Use your Party Hearty stamp set and color in the cupcake using a chocolate chip and regal rose Stampin' Write Marker and stamp it on the bottom of your invitation.

6.  Stamp this image once again and cut out the frosting portion of the cupcake.

7.  Use a two way glue pen to add adhesive to your cupcake frosting and then add a little dazzle with Dazzling Diamonds.

8.  Attach a dimensional to the back of the cupcake frosting and attach to your card on top of the stamped cupcake frosting on your card.

9.  Cut a piece of Pretty in Pink 3/8" tafetta ribbon and tie it into a bow.  Attach it to the top of your card with a glue dot.

10.  You're done!! You now have a dazzling birthday invitation.
