Good morning!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and doing well.  I apologize for my long absence.  I got sick last week and am now sick again but I will keep posting this week as much as I can.

I want to thank each of you for your wonderful comments about my blog.  I hesitated for a long time doing this because I didn't think I could do it, but here I am out there.  I received wonderful feedback on what I could do to improve it and rest assured I am working on all those details.  I am still receiving blog training so I am still learning alot.  It has been suggested adding categories on my side bar and I am definitely working on that.  I have training later today, so hopefully my trainer and I will work on that.

WHATEVER WEDNESDAY AND LAST DAY TO ENTER GIVEAWAY!

Good morning! Hope you are all doing well.  I am well and full of energy.  My daughter woke up at 2 a.m.  She fell off the bed and poor baby was screaming.  Daddy rushed to comfort her before I got to her and then I couldn't go back to sleep so I have been working on some amazing stuff since 2 a.m.  Hey, I went to bed at 10 p.m. so that was 4 hours of sleep.  Sounds about right for a mother of 3 children. LOL.

Today is Whatever Wednesday and I have this cute water bottle to show you.  This is not my original  idea, but the design is my original creation.  Nancy Riley came up with this idea. TEN MINUTE TUESDAY AND GIVEAWAY!

Hello again!  Thanks so much for visiting my blog.  Tomorrow is the last day for my first official giveaway!  Please go to my post dated January 9th and leave a comment as to what you think of my blog and tomorrow at midnight I will randomly draw a name and will post the winner on Thursday!  So go ahead and take a look around and let me know what you think so you can be entered into my first official giveaway! 

Today is Ten Minute Tuesday and my idea was to share cards or other items that can be made in less than 10 minutes.  One of the reasons a lot of people hesitate to stamp is because they think it is difficult and time consuming and it doesn't have to be.  You can get dazzling results in less than 10 minutes, so here is my take on a dazzling card in less than 10 minutes.

I love the simpleness of this card.  This card actually looks better in person.  I used the paper piecing technique on this card.  I just recently experimented with paper piecing and love it.  The bottom right hand corner is Stampin' Up's! Chit Chat rubons.  I love it!  They have rubons for all occasions in both chocolate chip and white.  How many times have you not had a stamp to say just what you wanted and didn't know what to do? Well, now you have Chit Chat Rubons from Stampin' Up! Give me a call or email me at ratona27@msn.com if you would like to order it.  By the way, this card is smaller than the usual size. 

To make this card you use a 12x12 sheet of cardstock that is cut into 3 inch intervals and then folded in half.  You actually get 4 cards out of one sheet of cardstock.  Your card will measure 3" x 6".  Stampin' Up even sells small open end envelopes to fit this card. How cool is that?

Directions:

1.  Once you have cut your cardstock into 3 inch intervals and folded in half for a 3" x 6" card take your 1 3/8" square punch and punch out a square on the top flap of your card.

2.  Take your mat pack and paper piercing tool and use the template included to make even holes around the square.

3.  Punch out a 1 3/8" pink pirouette square.

4.  Using your Stampin' Write markers to color in the left side bird(chocolate chip) and the mini heart in real red. Stamp this image on a piece of very vanilla cardstock and then punch it out using a 1 1/4" square punch.

5.  Adhere both pieces and then adhere to the inside of the card.  Make sure it is aligned with the top punched square.

6.  Use your Stampin' Write Chocolate Chip marker to color in the same bird you colored in before and stamp it on a piece of Candy Lane DSP.  Now cut it out carefully.  Don't include the legs and then add dimensionals to the back of the bird and attach it to the bird on the very vanilla square piece of cardstock.

7.  Use corner rounder to round bottom edges and choose a rubon from the Chit Chat pack and add it to the lower right hand corner. Ink the edges with chocolate chip and a sponge dauber.

8.  Take a piece of chocolate chip 5/8" ribbon and wrap it around the top flap and tie a knot.  Remember, left over right and then knot.

9.  You are done!! You can also use the same Love You Much Stamp set to stamp some hearts on the corner of your envelope.

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Real Red and Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker

MONTHLY CHALLENGE!

BIG SHOT SUNDAY AND GIVEAWAY!

Good morning!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  Mine was relaxing until yesterday.  The cabinetry for my new stamping studio is in and they will be put in this week.  So, my hubby and I had to remove over 20 boxes from my studio to make room for the workers to be able to put in my cabinets.  I am so excited as this is a dream come true!  As many of you already know, I moved from Arizona to New Mexico 3 months ago and am rebuilding my business here in New Mexico.  I am having my studio grand opening on Saturday, February 7th and I am so excited.  Not only is this my grand opening day in New Mexico, it is also my 1 year anniversary as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.  How exciting! On this day, I will be hosting my first class which is a Valentine's Day class.  It will include a Love You Much DVD Mini Scrapbook, mini mailbox for candy, and a card.  This grand opening class will cost $35.  If you are interested in attending please email me at ratona27@msn.com.   If you can't make it but are interested in the tutorial for this amazing mini scrapbook, stay tuned.  It will be available later this week for $20.  This is a great gift for Valentine's Day! 

Anyway, on to one of today's post that is a day late.  Check out this great little stuffed dog from Avon.  Isn't it so cute!!! I love it!! My daughter loves animated stuffed animals and she loves chocolate so I decided to put them together to create this great Valentine's Day gift for her.  First, I went to Dannie's Designs and found a wonderful tutorial for creating this box.  For the tutorial CLICK HERE and go to the post dated October 18th here you will find detailed instructions.  I took her Halloween idea and transformed it for Valentine's Day.  I also changed the candy.  I bought a bag of Hershey's Nuggets and used Stampin' Up's! wonderful Candy Lane Designer Series paper to add a touch to the candy.  Wrapping the nuggets is easy.  All you do is cut your Candy Lane DSP to 1 inch wide and cut to 3 inches long.  Add some adhesive to the designer series paper and wrap it around the candy. VOILA!! Your done!! I added some shredded paper to the bottom of my basket and I filled it with candy.  To package it, I will purchase a clear cellophane gift bag and place the dog and candy inside and wrap a pretty bow and tag to the top and I have a beautiful handmade Valentine's Day gift for my daughter using Stampin' Up! and Avon products. How great is that!

Simply Scrappin' Saturday and Giveaway!

Hi Stampers!  I hope you have had a wonderful Saturday with your family.  We enjoyed time at home relaxing and watching movies.  It was nice to just take a day to do nothing. Well, today is Simply Scrappin' Saturday.  I will be honest with you I am not a big scrapbooker.  It seems overwhelming to me and that is why you will notice that my classes do not involve 12 x 12 layouts.  Most of my classes involve mini scrapbooks.  When planning my daily post schedule on this blog I debated about adding scrapbooking but I had to realize that there are those of you that love scrapbooking and so I challenged myself to learn to scrapbook.   I love today's double layout.  I wish I could say I created it but I didn't.  I found this layout in Stampin' Up's! Spring/Summer Idea Book and Catalog and CASED it and then added my twist to it by using  "Dias Felices" stamp set. The second page I found on Splitcoast and again added my twist by using the Spanish stamp set.  One of the things I want to incorporate in my stamping is being able to scrapbook in Spanish.  My home is a bilingual home and I want to pass that down to my children even in my scrapbooking.  There are some things you say in Spanish that sound more beautiful in that language and expressing my love for my children through scrapbooking in Spanish is one of them.  Here is the double layout of my youngest child.  This was taken during her first Easter Egg Hunt last year.  I love these pictures!  

 One of the things I love about Stampin' Up! is that they are always looking for ways to improve their products.  As a result of that, Stampin' Up! has a supplemental catalog "Celebrando Creatividad".  This catalog provides many of the stamp sets in the main catalog in Spanish and some are exclusive to the hispanic market.  I love them and plan on using them more often.  Along, with the supplemental catalogs, Stampin' Up! comes out with a new catalog twice a year.  Well, Monday, January 19th is the debut of our new catalog.  I don't have my copy yet but the word out among demonstrators is that it is an amazing catalog.  My catalogs will be in this week, so if you would like a FREE catalog please e-mail me at ratona27@msn.com and send me your name and number so we can chat and I can get your FREE catalog to you.

FESTIVE FRIDAY AND EXTENDED CONTEST!

Hi Stampers! Hope you are all having a fabulous Friday. I want to begin by apologizing for my absence on my blog. Life has been hectic and the kids and I are trying to get on a schedule so that I can post during my normal business hours.  All the kids are adjusting to the change, except for my baby Isabella.  She is 19 months old and wants to be with mommy all the time.  I now have help with her so I should be on a regular schedule.

BIG SHOT SUNDAY!

  Good morning! I would like to apologize for not posting yesterday.  My family and I went to church yesterday morning and had a wonderful and blessed day. We came home and spend time together and before you know it the day was over.  We had a wonderful time and I am truly blessed to have a wonderful husband and kids.  Later today I will have 2 posts.  One for Big Shot Sunday and one for Monthly Monday Challenge.  Stay tuned and come back today!
